A TEENAGER is cycling to India to try and raise £25,000 for St Margaret’s Hospice, who is currently caring for his grandmother from Taunton.

Charity worker Jude Kriwald, 19, will set off on a solo 6,000 mile journey from Somerset to Amritsar in India – a journey which will see him pass through 17 countries and take around six months.

He said: “I wanted to do this for St. Margaret’s Hospice not only because they are helping my grandmother, but because they help so many people in the community.

“Almost everyone knows someone who has benefitted from this wonderful place and the dedicated people who work there.”

Jude will be self-sufficient, camping alone night after night, meeting and dining with new people every day, until he finally arrives in India in December.
