Jeremy Browne MP visited North Town Primary School’s fete last week and witnessed firsthand the efforts put into the event by the school’s PTA.
The fete is a major fund-raising event for the school, which is currently trying to raise funds to buy new play equipment for children in Key Stage 2.
On the visit Jeremy Browne said: “I always enjoy visiting North Town Primary School. The activities at their fete ranged from a climbing wall from local active living group 1610 to the school’s famous chocolate tombola.
“The PTA at the school had obviously worked hard on the event, which raised funds for new play equipment for the children.”
Councillor Justine Baker said: “My daughter goes to North Town School and the fete is one of the key events on the school’s calendar because it raises much needed funds for the PTA and school.
“The money will go towards new play equipment, which will add to the very popular trim trail that was put into the school playground a year ago.
“I know how hard the PTA worked on this year’s fete and in particular getting so many raffle prizes.”
