FORMER Zimbabwean Test cricketer Henry Olonga is officially opening the Shining Lights Christian Pre-school in Gipsy Lane, Bishop’s Hull, at 2pm on Saturday, August 11.

Henry, the youngest player to represent Zimbabwe after making his international debut in 1995, will cut the ribbon watched by staff, local leaders, civic dignitaires and families.

He said: “I’ve been very impressed with Shining Lights Christian Preschool’s ethos and professionalism.

“Having personally met Pippa Bown (pre-school manager) and heard reviews from my wife regarding the set up we are looking forward to enrolling our 18-month-old daughter at the preschool when she comes of age.”

Throughout the day families will be able to look round Shining Lights, which has held open days throughout the summer and takes its first children in September.
