A VEHICLE fire caused disruption on the M5 this afternoon (August 18).

The Fire Service were called to the incident with a vehicle well alight on the hard shoulder southbound between junction 23 Dunball and junction 24 Huntworth at 4.01pm.

Two fire engines from Bridgwater extinguished the fire on the vehicle, which had a livestock trailer attached, but no livestock on board.

The cause of the fire is believed to accidential.
