Greggs Christmas menu is back – and a much-loved favourite returns after four years

Greggs has officially started the Christmas countdown with a brand-new twist on one of the nation's favourite festive treats – while bringing back a popular Christmas snack that has been missing for four years.

The bakery giant has launched the first wave of its 2026 Christmas menu in shops nationwide today, October 1, with the new Sweet Mince Pie Roll taking centre stage.

And fans of pigs in blankets have reason to celebrate too, as the much-loved snack is finally returning to Greggs after four years away.

Greggs gives mince pies a new twist

The new Sweet Mince Pie Roll costs from £1 and puts a Greggs spin on the traditional Christmas favourite.

It is made with layers of golden puff pastry wrapped around sweet mincemeat containing vine fruits, Bramley apples and candied orange and lemon peel.

The roll is finished with a light dusting of icing sugar and is freshly baked in Greggs shops each day. It contains 354 calories.

Pigs in Blankets are back

Perhaps the biggest news for Greggs fans is the return of its Pigs in Blankets, which have been off the menu for four years.

The £2.50 snack contains six pork sausages wrapped in smoked streaky bacon, served in a small pot designed to make them easy to eat on the go.

The return means customers can get a taste of one of the most popular parts of a Christmas dinner without having to wait for the big day.

The serving contains 233 calories.

Greggs has also brought back its traditional Sweet Mince Pie, priced from £2.60 for a six-pack.

The vegan-friendly pies are made with crumbly shortcrust pastry and a filling of vine fruits, Bramley apple and candied orange and lemon peel, finished with icing sugar.

A single pie contains 281 calories.

The Christmas menu also includes the Christmas Cake Slice, priced from £1.50.

The 417-calorie slice is made with fruit and ground almonds, topped with apricot jam, almond marzipan and white icing.

Meanwhile, Christmas Mini Caramel Shortbreads are back at £2.50 for a six-pack.

The bite-sized shortbread biscuits are topped with caramel and white chocolate and decorated for the festive season. Each mini shortbread contains 97 calories.
