B&Q has recalled a huge batch of remote control on/off plug adapters due to fire risk this Christmas.
The products have shown excessive heat build-up in the plug of some units and B&Q is advising customers to return these products immediately.
It is easy at Christmas to overfill plug sockets with all the Christmas lights and toys and chargers but this is a good example why not to overdo it.
A spokesman for B&Q said: “We have taken the decision to recall the products as in some circumstances, items in contact with the product could ignite.”
The exact products are REMOTE CONTROL ON/OFF SET TWIN - Barcode 5052931395033 and REMOTE CONTROL ON/OFF SET TRIPLE - Barcode 4895130705675.
The products were on sale between September 2014 and November 2017 and so If you have purchased these products please stop using it immediately.
The shop will will provide you with a full refund so stop using the product immediately and return it to your local shop.
