A single mum of two won the UBBC British title with "just one arm" at a boxing event in Bridgwater's Blake Hall.
Lucy Payne, mother to Toby, 14, and Ronny, 10, trains and coaches at Tavern Fitness and Martial Arts in Watchet.
Heading into the Bridgwater title bout on Saturday, she was undefeated and won all her fights.
But to keep her record intact was to be difficult, as Payne had to adapt her strategy due to a shoulder injury.
This meant a majority of the fight was one with just one arm.
But this was no obstacle for the reigning and defending Southern Area and English Champion.
It only lasted three of the six rounds, with Payne knocking out her opponent.
Talking after the win, the new British Champion said: "I would also like to thank all the Tavern team for their support throughout, to each and everyone of my friends who brought tickets and supported me on the night, the atmosphere was electric.
"I would like to thank my coach, Simon Gorman, who adapted my training, who gave his time and expertise to help, guide and support me throughout and on the night too, you're a true legend and a great coach.
"We recover now, get the surgery needed and then we go big for the European Title!".
