A FORMER pub could be converted into a tattoo parlour during the day and a wine and cocktail bar/cafe in the evenings.
Permission is being sought for the development at the premises at 58a Bridge Street, Taunton - previously part an antiques centre and before that a pub.
The whole building, which once housed The Telegraph and more recently The Cider Press pubs, was recently on the market for £315,000.
The application has been submitted to Taunton Deane Borough Council by Black Tulip tattoo shop in Silver Street, Taunton.
The owners want to run the tattoo parlour from 9am to 5pm Mondays to Saturdays, with the cocktail and wine bar opening between 6pm and 11pm Wednesdays to Saturdays.
A report from the applicant's agent, Greenslade Taylor Hunt, says: "The applicant has recent purchased the property and wishes to obtain planning permission so that the use of the building as a tattoo parlour/wine and cocktail bar can commence as soon as possible."
