MORE than 70 people attended a pancake lunch in Kingston St Mary Village Hall to raise money for the Children’s Hospice South West.

The annual Shrove Tuesday event was organised by the local Friends of CHSW group.

On the menu was a choice of savoury pancakes with either a fish and prawn filling or chicken and ham, or the traditional sweet pancakes with sugar and lemon.

The event, which also included a raffle and the sale of home made marmalade, raised £970 for the charity's work supporting children with life limiting conditions and their families.
