A NUMBER of pupils at a village primary school are self isolating following a confirmed Covid-19 case today (Friday).
It is the second time this week that a pupil at Norton Fitzwarren Church School has tested positive for the coronavirus.
And it comes weeks after a third child from the school had caught the virus.
Acting headteacher Kelly Birt said: "We have issued Public Health England guidance to pupils, parents and staff of Norton Fitzwarren Church School following one confirmed case of Covid-19 today.
"All the correct procedure have been followed.
"Those children who have been in close contact with the confirmed case are now self-isolating for the recommended 14 days.
"They continue to receive high quality learning provision via our online blended learning programme.
"We would like to, once again, thank our school community for their continued support and understanding."
