Temporary traffic restrictions have been announced for Taunton.

These measures, affecting various roads, will be in place from Monday, April 28 until Tuesday, April 29, between 6pm and 11pm.

This is to allow Virgin Media to perform excavation work to clear blockages.

The full public notice detailing the traffic restrictions is available to view at publicnoticeportal.uk/notice/traffic-and-roads/67f79abc34245a2bec222d6b.

The affected roads include the A358 Priorswood Road, from its junction with Grange Drive in a westerly direction to its junction with St Andrews Road and Clifton Terrace.

A temporary one-way restriction will be in place on this stretch of road.

Malvern Terrace will also be affected, with a temporary ban on right turns onto the A358 Priorswood Road.

The council said the order is being put in place to allow for the proposed works and to prevent danger to the public or serious damage to the road, unrelated to the works.

Alternative routes for motorists will be available while the roads are closed.

For more details about the works, contact Ocu Group Ltd on 0845 3038615.
