THE directors of Taunton Flower Show have shared a letter ahead of the 2025 event:
We are looking forward to welcoming you all to the Taunton Flower Show 2025.
We have lots of amazing displays in the Floral Marquee and many traders in the Plant Village to give our visitors plenty of advice and help with their garden and purchases.
Our Competition Marquee entries are already higher than most years as people get involved and have a go with our competitions. We are also delighted to welcome Chris Hull from BBC Garden Rescue, judging our Designer Gardens competition and giving a talk.
Paws for Thought will be taking to our arena with their amazing dog display as well as the BMX show and All Steps Formation Riding Group. The show is delighted to welcome back crowd favourites the Rock Choir on Friday and Barnstaple Town Youth Marching Band on Saturday.
Children go free with a paying adult, and all activities in the show are free. We are grateful to Taunton Town Council for a grant to support the show in keeping the show's activities free for children.
Times have been tough for Taunton Flower Show, and we are struggling to keep the show going through the increased contractor and hire costs.
We are very dependent on people coming to support the show by purchasing tickets, which is why we made the conscious decision not to raise ticket prices this year.
Taunton Flower Show is the oldest Flower Show in the UK, and we would love to keep it going to celebrate our 200th show in 2031.
We look forward to welcoming you to Vivary Park for the show on Friday, August 1, and Saturday, August 2.
