Dear Editor,
Writing a letter to a local newspaper is often an action one takes when what has been brewing for a while has come to a boil, and yep, I have reached that stage.
The potholes in the streets of Taunton are getting bigger and bigger and more numerous by the minute.
I have lived in Africa for a while and they had the same problem, mainly due to extreme poverty, where road maintenance was not a priority, but that surely is not the case here.
After all, we are paying high taxes (council/car/road/parking) where the hell is all that money going?
Potholes are not just unsightly, they are dangerous.
My car might sustain an axle break, but cyclists or motorcyclists may lose their lives.
Can you join me in demanding urgent action from the Somerset Council in resolving this matter?
Anna Stracke
