I am responding to the article in the Gazette about Mr Singh.
I remember him well as he used to come around to our house in Taunton when I was a child (I am now in my 70s).
We used to look forward to inspecting the contents of his suitcases, and my mother always bought something.
As was said in the article, he was a fascination to my brother and me as we were not used to seeing brown people in Somerset, especially one wearing a turban.
He was a lovely, polite man and I've never forgotten him.
With all good wishes to his family, they must be very proud of what he achieved.
