MILVERTON paedophile Martyn Coles will spend at least 15 years in jail.
Coles, 55, of Creedwell Orchard, was handed five concurrent life sentences for his sex crimes against six underage girls.
Judge Graham Hume Jones said that Coles, who refused to attend the sentencing hearing in Taunton Crown Court today, must serve a minimum of 15 years before he is even considered for release on licence.
He also received sentences ranging from six months to four years - all running concurrently - after a jury found him guilty earlier this month of 17 offences ranging from rape to indecent assault.
Coles was also ordered to sign the sex offenders' register indefinitely and the judge imposed a series of restrictions relating to contact with anyone under 16.
