STUDENTS returned to the streets of Taunton today to protest against proposed rises in tuition fees and the cutting of Education Maintenance Allowance.
They gathered outside County Hall at mid-day, waving flags and placards and denouncing the Government’s plans.
Last Wednesday more than 100 students staged protests in Taunton and Wiveliscombe .
In Taunton they marched through the main shopping areas calling for the plans to be axed before staging a sit-down outside the Market House.
