A NEW festive market will take place on Minehead Old Hospital’s forecourt later this month.

Minehead Connect CIC, which manages the project to bring the Old Hospital back into community use, joined forces with the Minehead Farmers’ Market to announce the event taking place on Saturday, November 25 between 2pm and 7pm to coincide the town’s Christmas lights being switched on.

The group has also announced the first date for a new regular market to take place on Tuesdays in the hospital forecourt, having recently been granted planning permission Jonas Fishmongers will be among the stall holders selling their wares at the new market which is in addition to the existing Friday market.

The first date planned is Tuesday 21 November from 8.30am to 1pm, and as a trial the first few markets too will be seasonally themed.
