EMERGENCY services have rushed to rescue a man who was trapped under his overturned tractor in a field.
Fire engines from Minehead, Porlock and Taunton were called to a field in Ashwell Lane, Cutcombe, Wheddon Cross shortly before 3pm today (February 28).
The man was freed and taken to hospital by air ambulance.
The fire crews were called out by the ambulance service after reports of a man trapped underneath a tractor in a field.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival the office in charge confirmed one agricultural tractor overturned in the field with the male underneath the vehicle.
"Crews got to work with the paramedics removing the male from underneath the vehicle and assisting paramedics with the transfer of the casualty from the field to the air ambulance.
"The vehicle was made safe with environmental equipment and handed responsibility over to the owner."
