Sherborne Town 3, Wellington 1
THREE goals in the last 16 minutes consigned Wellington to defeat at Sherborne in the Toolstation League last night (Wednesday).
The kick-off was delayed for 35 minutes owing to the late arrival of a referee's assistant.
But Wellington then got off to the best possible start as they went ahead in the second minute thanks to Nick Woon's well-placed header.
That was their brightest moment of the evening, however, as they were forced to repel attack after attack by the home side.
Wellington held out until the 74th minute when Nick Jacobs equalised.
And a minute later Sherborne were in front as Jacobs ghosted in at the far post to net his second.
Substitute Richie Parkinson put the issue beyond doubt with eight minutes remaining.
