WELLINGTON moved up a place to 15th in the Premier Division table with a well-earned draw away to Bitton on Saturday.

Tom Ellis and George Painter netted for the Tangerines as they twice came from behind to claim a point, with Conor Cunningham and Tom Knighton on target for the 10th-placed hosts.

Wellington are due to host Clevedon Town, who are currently ninth, on Wednesday (7.30pm), although whether the match goes ahead is dependent on the weather, with very cold temperatures expected.

Bishops Lydeard 4, Calne Town 5

BISHOPS Lydeard slipped down one spot in the First Division, after coming out on the wrong side of a nine-goal thriller at Cothelstone Road.

The hosts look a very early lead, as Jordan Lovibond squared for Charlie Wilson to score, but soon the visitors had turned it around to lead 2-1.

Lovibond himself fired in to equalise, and the sides were level at the break.

Calne went back ahead almost immediately after the restart, only for Mark Clunie to haul Lydeard level again from the penalty spot.

But it was the away side who finished stronger, with two more goals putting the game out of the hosts' reach, even with Ryan Brereton netting a late consolation goal.

Bill Boakes (2), Stu Windsor, Aaron Witchell and Josh Hard were on the scoresheet for the visitors.

Lydeard, now 10th in the standings, are set to go to seventh-placed Chard Town on Wednesday (ko 7.30pm) - again the game being weather-dependent.

Staplegrove 5, Wrington Redhill 4

STAPLEGROVE were also involved in a nine-goal affair, but they came out victorious to give themselves renewed hope of beating relegation.

Luke Desave was the hosts' hero as he scored a hat-trick, with Lewis Bellringer and Josh Martin also on target.

Sam Clark, Oliver Clements and Jacob Horton replied for the away side.

The result moves second-bottom Grove onto 16 points, just two behind Ilminster Town and three off Clutton and Stockwood Green, although they have played more games than all of those sides.

This Saturday, Grove travel to face 10th-placed Odd Down Reserves (ko 3pm).
