SOMERSET County Cricket Club have confirmed they will be bringing a strong team to North Perrott CC for their T20 warm-up match against Dorset next Tuesday (July 3).

New Zealand international Corey Anderson will be in the squad, as Somerset will use the match to give their T20 squad valuable match practice ahead of their Vitality Blast campaign.

Spectators will be hoping to see the likes of James Hildreth, Peter Trego, Steve Davies, Craig and Jamie Overton, Dom Bess, Lewis Gregory, Tim Groenewald, Johan Myburgh and Roelof van Der Merwe turn out in what will be a prestige match for both Dorset and the South Somerset area.

Last year’s fixture was rained off, so North Perrott are delighted to have a second go at hosting the match.

Two North Perrott first-teamers are also likely to be seen in the Dorset team, in the shape of Gordon Whorlow and up-and-coming star Alex Eckland.

A continuation of the wonderful warm sunny weather is forecast, so to cope with thirsty spectators, Perrott will have their bar open in the pavilion, together with an extra bar at the other side of the ground.

Adult tickets cost £10, OAPs/students £5, and it's free for under-16s if accompanied by an adult.

Entry is by cash at the gate, and the match is due to start at 5pm, with the gates open at 3pm.

Spectators are requested to bring their own chairs to the ground, as only a very limited number will be available at the club.
