June 21, 2003 - Twenty20 Cup
Gloucestershire 120-0 beat Somerset 119-9 by 10 wkts

The Twenty20 Cup competition was in its first year but this wasn’t a successful campaign for Somerset.

They lost three of their five zonal matches, and a 10-wicket loss to Gloucestershire in front of a sell-out crowd and a TV audience was hard to swallow.

Gloucestershire were set a target of 119 (Ian Blackwell top scoring with 29), and surged to victory inside 11 overs, with Australian Ian Harvey hitting 75.

July 6, 2005 - Twenty20 Cup
Somerset 228-5 beat Gloucestershire 133 by 95 runs

In the year that Somerset lifted the trophy, they enjoyed a handsome win at home to their local rivals.

Graeme Smith hit 53 and Ian Blackwell 45 - before James Hildreth contributed a 10-ball 32 - as the hosts raced to 228-5.

Come the reply, Gareth Andrew claimed four wickets and Keith Parsons three, as Gloucestershire succumbed for 133.

June 27, 2006 - Twenty20 Cup
Somerset 250-3 beat Gloucestershire 133 by 117 runs

Somerset hit a world record score against Gloucestershire following a 186-run partnership between overseas players Justin Langer (90) and Cameron White (116), who equalled the highest ever individual Twenty20 score.

Gloucestershire had no reply and fell to 32-4 with the game all but over, Charl Willoughby finishing with 4-30 for the home side.

June 27, 2007 - Twenty20 Cup
Gloucestershire 109-2 beat Somerset 104 by 8 wkts

The Cidermen fell to an eight-wicket defeat at the hands of Gloucestershire in 2007.

Somerset were bowled out for a lowly 104 - Peter Trego hit 35 but there were three wickets apiece for Carl Greenidge and Anthony Ireland.

The visitors replied with 109/2, Chris Taylor hitting 48 not out and Kadeer Ali 47no to guide their team to victory.

May 29, 2009 - Twenty20Cup
Gloucestershire 162-8 beat Somerset 141-5 by 21 runs

Somerset were on the losing side again, despite only losing five wickets in pursuit of Gloucestershire's 162-8.

Craig Spearman was at the heart of the visitors' innings, with 51, while Alfonso Thomas took 3-31 for the home side.

Justin Langer (33) and Peter Trego (44no) couldn't quite get Somerset over the line come the run chase - Steve Kirby taking 2-17 off four overs for Gloucestershire.

June 18, 2010 - Friends Provident t20
Somerset 200-4 beat Gloucestershire 199-8 by 6 wkts

Gloucestershire won the toss and set Somerset a tough target of 199, with Steve Snell hitting a half-century; Ben Phillips and Alfonso Thomas claimed three wickets each.

However, Zander De Bruyn had the last word, as he blasted 95 not out off 49 balls to guide the Cidermen to a six-wicket victory, with seven balls remaining.

Kieron Pollard contributed 54 runs off 25 balls in pursuit of victory.

July 8, 2011 - Friends Life t20
Somerset 170-4 beat Gloucestershire 155-9 by 15 runs

Jos Buttler was the main man for Somerset on this occasion, hitting 72 off 45 balls in the hosts' 170-4.

Hamish Marshall replied with 52, but Gloucestershire's lower order tailed away as Kieron Pollard took three wickets, and Lewis Gregory and Murali Kartik two apiece.

June 29, 2012 - Friends Life t20
Gloucestershire 141-1 beat Somerset 140-8 by 9 wkts

An underwhelming batting performance from Somerset saw Albie Morkel top score with 33 - James Fuller, Muttiah Muralitharan and Ian Saxelby all taking two wickets.

Hamish Marshall hit 66 and Benny Howell 55no as the away side cruised home.

July 5, 2013 - Friends Life t20
Somerset 192-6 beat Gloucestershire 190-6 by 4 wkts

Craig Kieswetter hit 89 not out in front of a sell-out crowd to lead the Cidermen to a four-wicket victory.

Somerset were given a target of 191 to win (Ian Cockbain with 63), and new overseas signing Yasir Arafat - having earlier taken two wickets - hit four off the very last ball to secure the win.

July 11, 2014 - NatWest t20 Blast
Somerset 175-8 beat Gloucestershire 168-6 by 7 runs

Nick Compton starred with 46 at the top of the order, and Craig Kieswetter hit 39 as Somerset reached 175-8 - Benny Howell and Tom Smith with two wickets each for the visitors.

The run chase fell seven runs short of the home side's total, despite Alex Gidman's 55, as Alfonso Thomas took 3-34.

July 3, 2015 - NatWest t20 Blast
Gloucestershire 178-2 beat Somerset 174-6 by 8 wkts

Johann Myburgh and Tom Cooper both contributed 38 runs to the Somerset cause, and Luke Ronchi 49, but it was not to be the hosts' day.

Opening Gloucestershire pair Michael Klinger (58) and Hamish Marshall (93) did the damage, leaving Ian Cockbain and Peter Handscomb to finish it off.

July 1, 2016 - NatWest t20 Blast
Gloucestershire 168-3 beat Somerset 167-7 by 7 wkts

Gloucestershire captain Michael Klinger hit 101 as the Cidermen were well beaten by a seven-wicket margin.

Somerset set their rivals a target of 167 after struggling to gain momentum when asked to bat - Mahela Jayawardene top scoring with 41, while Matt Taylor took 3-16 for the visitors.

Klinger hit his century off 67 balls to guide Gloucestershire to victory, completing the double over their rivals that season.

Jamie Overton took all three Gloucestershire wickets to fall.
