TENNIS star Lucy Shuker will play in her fourth Wimbledon final tomorrow, after coming through a delayed ladies’ wheelchair doubles semi-final.

Shuker and German partner Sabine Ellerbrock lost the first set to Dutch pair Marjolein Buis and Aniek van Koot, 6-3, but fought back to win the second 6-4 on Friday.

Then bad light stopped play, with Shuker and Ellerbrock leading 3-1 in the deciding set.

That meant resuming on Saturday afternoon, but there was no way back for Buis and Van Koot, the second seeds being dumped out of the competition after losing the third set 6-4.

Upsetting the favourites means that 38-year-old Shuker is into her fourth Wimbledon final - having previously finished as runner-up in 2009, 2010 and 2012.

The Blackbrook-trained player readily admits that grass is the toughest surface for her to compete on due to her disability.

But she and Ellerbrock will look to upset the odds once again, as they take on top seeds Diede de Groot and Yui Kamiji in the doubles final tomorrow.
