SOMERSET are currently in County Championship action against Worcestershire, but back at home Johann Myburgh has been making rather surprising headlines with the ball for the 2nd XI.
The South African opening batsman, 37, is not known for his bowling exploits, but today he recorded remarkable figures of five wickets for three runs, from just 12 balls, against Middlesex 2nds.
His exploits at Taunton Vale included a hat-trick, removing Martin Andersson, George Scott and Max John off three consecutive deliveries of off-spin.
Middlesex posted 139-7 from their 20 overs, with Dom Bess and Paul van Meekeren taking the other wickets to fall.
Somerset then got over the line with three wickets in hand, Myburgh adding 22 runs to his earlier efforts, and Tim Rouse holding the innings together with a fine 77 not out.
