RUNNING Forever had a quieter than usual weekend, though a good contingent of 10 made their way to Buckland St Mary for the Buckland Bolt, an off-road 10k run by the Friends of Buckland St Mary Primary School.
It was a small field this year, with the RFRC lot making up nearly 25 per cent of the entrants.
Chris Brown was the first of the club’s runners home, his 41:47 taking second place overall.
Andy Staples’ 45:52 earned him third finisher and Emma Kiernan was first female over the line in 47:12.
Peter Hall finished this hot and hilly run in 61 minutes, Peter Stretton 75 minutes, Morwenna Dunstan 78 minutes, Phil Wilson 79 minutes, and Val Perigo and Claire Allison in 90 minutes.
The club’s 10th participant was Lynn Cunningham, who was sweeper for the race.
This weekend’s Parkrun tourists went to Cardiff, Tilgate, Burnham, Street and Yeovil.
Thirty-four took part in the local Longrun Meadow event, with Chris Brown earning a new PB with his third finisher spot.
