Kings Langley 1, Taunton Town 2

RYAN Brett's 86th-minute header ensured Taunton Town returned to winning ways at Kings Langley on Saturday.

The Peacocks, who had seen their long unbeaten run ended in stoppage time at Weymouth on Tuesday, had taken the lead in the first half before being pegged back early in the second.

Town were unchanged for the third match running and started on the front foot, Andrew Neal heading just over before Matt Wright rattled the crossbar with a header of his own on 13 minutes.

The visitors got the goal their pressure deserved on 25 minutes when Ben Adelsbury curled home a free-kick, and they stayed in control as they took their lead into the break.

Kings Langley hit back after the interval, however, and Mitchell Weiss equalised on 51 minutes with a fine finish from distance.

The same player then tried his luck from halfway with an effort which went just over, while Wright saw a header ruled out by the offside flag as both sides pushed for a winner.

It was Taunton who got it with four minutes to play, as Brett nodded home at the near post to make the long journey home a sweet one for the Peacocks and their travelling fans.

Next up for Town is a bank holiday double header - they host Hendon on Saturday (3pm) before the derby at Tiverton Town two days later (3pm).
