Somerset County League Division 2 (W): Congresbury 2, Creech St Michael 4.
CREECH St Michael bounced back from their opening day defeat with a great display at Congresbury.
Creech were without a game last week but returned to winning ways in fine style.
They should have led at half time with Scott Drayton hitting post and bar but keeper mark Symons had to be alert to pull of a couple of excellent saves.
The pressure finally told after the break when Dan Symons drove an effort into the bottom corner. Drayton then doubled the advantage, lifting the ball over the advancing keeper after being sent clear by Ryan Hocking.
The hosts then pulled a goal back but Kevin Gratton restored Creech's two-goal cushion with a superb shot from distance.
The home team refused to lie down and, with ten minutes left, made it 3-2 with a goal from close range after a corner.
They could easily have levelled soon after with Dan Symons pulling off another great save before Ashley Parker converted a Drayton cross to seal the victory.
This Saturday, Creech are home to Banwell.
