BISHOPS Lydeard had to be content with third place in the Somerset Divison after going down by six wickets away to Cheddar in their final match.
A win would have given them second place but it was just out of their reach and it was Winscombe who were runners-up.
After being asked to bat, Lydeard made a good start with 15-year-old Robbie Contreras (40) and Dan Sizer (37) putting on 71 for the first wicket.
But, after their stand, wickets fell at regular intervals and they were restricted to a below-par 169-7.
In reply, Cheddar made a strong start and, even though Lydeard kept the runs down, the hosts always had wickets in hand and eventually got to their target with ten balls remaining.
The pick of the Lydeard bowlers was Justin Heyward, who finished with 1-17 from seven overs.
