Frome 27, Taunton Utd 12.

TAUNTON 2nds geared up for their first league game this Saturday with a trip to play Frome.

The game was an open and fast flowing with both sides looking to attack from all areas. The Frome pack were far bigger than there Taunton counterparts and they dominated most of the first half playing down the slope.

Taunton produced some good rugby in patches even when down to 14 men due to an in jury for 20 minutes.

Evan Morgan went over for a great try in the first half, a fine solo effert from a quickly taken penalty, converted by Josh Stannard. Frome scored three good tries in the first half.

Taunton played much better second half and spent most of the time in the opposition half with great line out ball.

After some phases of play they broke the Frome line and captain Neil Symons cut an angle off and Paddy Dean and went over for a well deserved try.

Taunton continued to have most of the ball but mistakes and dropped balls cost us in the end, as Frome finished with two more well worked tries.
