TAUNTON & Pickeridge golfer Tom Sloman is among the 11 leading players selected to represent England in the Men’s Home Internationals at Conwy Golf Club, Wales, from September 12-14.

Sloman, 22, was runner-up in the Welsh open and has reached the quarter finals of both The Amateur and the English amateur championships.

The team will take on the challenge of Ireland, Scotland and Wales as they bid to regain the Raymond Trophy, which they last won at Ganton, Yorkshire, in 2013.

Since then, Ireland have been the champions – snatching victory from England last year by just half a game point.

The four teams play in a round robin format, with five foursomes and 10 singles each day.
