TAUNTON Town's lucrative FA Cup third round qualifying tie will be played next Wednesday, after potential opponents St Albans City and Corinthian Casuals drew last night.

National League South side St Albans were held 1-1 at home by their visitors from the Isthmian League, in a match postponed due to the FA removing Whyteleafe from the competition (and reinstating Casuals) for fielding an ineligible player.

As a result, they will replay on Saturday or Sunday, and the Peacocks will host Frome Town in Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South on Saturday (ko 3pm).

Taunton will then entertain the winners of St Albans and Corinthian Casuals' replay on Wednesday night at the Viridor Stadium.

Should that match finish level, the replay will be played the following Tuesday, meaning Town's scheduled league match at Dorchester will be rearranged.

Third round qualifying winners earn £15,000 from the FA's prize fund, and the fixture's delay means the Peacocks will be in the fourth round qualifying draw (one before the first round proper) - with £25,000 on offer to winning clubs.
