Dings Crusaders 10, Taunton Titans 33

THREE tries in the final 15 minutes helped Taunton Titans to a bonus-point victory at Dings Crusaders on Saturday.

The visitors were looking to carry on the momentum from last weekend's win over Old Redcliffians but it was Dings who made the stronger start.

Steve Plummer slotted a penalty before Harry Tovey sprinted in for an interception try which Plummer converted to open up a 10-0 lead.

The Titans came back well, however, getting themselves on the board when Sam Prior crashed over - Gary Kingdom converted to narrow the deficit to three points by half-time.

Taunton edged ahead 12 minutes after the restart when substitute Nick Mason latched on to Lewis Webb's chip to score with his first touch of the game, Kingdom adding the extras again, and a penalty try on 65 minutes after a high tackle on Aron Struminski took the Titans' lead to 21-10.

The vital bonus point was secured when Cory Teague finished off a great break from scrum-half Jacob Nash, who then added a fifth try himself with time running out to add gloss to the scoreline.

Taunton have now won two on the bounce as they recover from a damaging sequence of three successive defeats - the Titans are now back into the top four ahead of next weekend's home match against struggling Guernsey.
