Roman Glass St George 1, Wellington AFC 3

WELLINGTON completed the double over Roman Glass St George on Saturday, the three points taking them into 11th spot.

The hosts made the better start, but on 20 minutes Josh Wadham’s cross was turned goalwards by Joe Chamberlain, and Glen Wright prodded in the rebound.

Josh Wadham then extended the lead on the stroke of half time, cutting inside and curling his shot past the keeper.

After the break, Ryan Radford struck the Wellington crossbar from distance but the visitors managed to clear their lines.

Radford eventually did pull one back, from the penalty spot with a couple of minutes to go, but the Tangerines went right up the other end to seal their win.

Conor Bryant was the scorer, pouncing on a loose ball in the box following a counter-attack, and driving in from an angle.
