TAUNTON Titans are getting ready for their longest journey of the season as they face Bury St Edmunds in National 2 South tomorrow.

The Titans overcame Old Albanians 10-8 on Saturday in a scrappy affair at Hyde Park to stay in touch with their promotion rivals.

The Taunton side are currently fourth in the standings, seven points off second-placed Canterbury and one behind Tonbridge Juddians with a game in hand.

The Titans won the reverse fixture with Bury St Edmunds 50-0 back in October, but the Suffolk outfit have improved since then and sit sixth going into the weekend’s rematch.

Taunton have a good recent record when making the 500-mile round trip, though, winning on each of their three previous visits.
