TONE made an unusually slow start to the game and struggled to find their flow, but managed to take a slight lead at the end of the first quarter (18-15).

The second quarter saw some good attacking work and better linking, allowing them to extend their lead to 34-28.

They found their flow during the third quarter and started to pull further away (50-41).

Consolidating their lead in the final quarter, a great team game saw another win notched up for Tone.

Monmouth 38, Bridgwater Saturn 54

IN the first quarter, Saturn came out strong adding defensive pressure throughout the court and took an early lead (7-13).

Going into the second quarter, Monmouth’s defence worked hard to add pressure to Saturn’s attack but Saturn took advantage of every goal scoring opportunity with accurate shooting and held their lead (19-30).

Monmouth came back fighting in the third quarter.

Winning interceptions and many tips throughout the court saw them win the quarter (30-39).

Saturn came back strong in the final quarter with many turnovers and accurate shooting to win the match.

LAUREN Knight enjoyed another successful weekend representing England Colleges.

On Saturday, she played in the national colleges B team on Saturday which beat Northern Ireland under-17s 77-27, earning the coaches' player and players' player awards.

As a result, the Taunton Netball Club and Richard Huish College starlet started in the A team for Sunday's game against Northern Ireland u21s (another win - 67-27) and had another excellent game, receiving recognition as coaches' player again.

Knight has now been officially promoted to the A team.
