TAUNTON Town head of football Rob Dray wants his players to ‘enjoy the pressure’ as they aim to get back on track at home to Poole Town tomorrow (ko 3pm).

Taunton are without a win in four league games after a 2-0 loss at Frome Town, and Dray said: “You join Taunton to be in these pressure situations at the end of the season, not playing the last seven games to get them out the way and have the summer off.

"You want to enjoy the pressure.”

Even with their patchy form, the Peacocks sit two points off league leaders Weymouth with seven league games still to play.

Dray added: “Every team in Europe – even [Premier League leaders] Manchester City earlier this season – has a blip or loss of form, and it’s the group mentality that drags you back.

“This group has proved they are mentally resilient, against St Albans in the FA Cup and taking Barrow to a replay [two seasons back].

“We should have a good crowd on Saturday, so we need to put on a show for them.”

Defender Ben Adelsbury will miss out due to suspension, but goalkeeper Lloyd Irish returns.

Tuesday (ko 7.45pm) sees Taunton visit Frome for a Somerset Premier Cup semi-final.
