TAUNTON Town's Somerset Premier Cup final with Weston-super-Mare, originally scheduled for May 7, will now be played during pre-season for the 2019/20 campaign.

The Peacocks are likely to be involved in the Evo-Stik Southern League play-offs, which could see them play matches on May 6 (play-off final) and May 11 ('super' play-off final against the winner of the Isthmian League play-offs).

As for Weston, who are bottom of National League South, their last match of the season is scheduled to take place next Saturday (April 27).

A Taunton statement read: "Following discussions between the club, the Somerset FA and Weston-super-Mare, it has been agreed by all parties, that the final between Taunton Town and Weston-super-Mare, at Huish Park, the home of Yeovil Town FC, will now take place during pre-season, once a new date can be identified.

"We thank Somerset FA and Weston-super-Mare for their understanding and a new date will announced in due course, with the likely venue for the final being held at the Optima Stadium, home of the Seagulls."
