After such an incredible few months for the club, we are all obviously really disappointed about the start to this year’s Vitality Blast.

Everyone’s been looking forward to playing in front of the sell-out crowds at the Cooper Associates County Ground and the atmosphere was amazing, just like we knew it would be.

We are gutted that we couldn’t give our members and supporters the win we all wanted.

Although we’ve been disappointed with the results in the T20 so far, there have been some outstanding performances.

Bants [Tom Banton] has been really impressive so far and Babar has done what we all hoped he would do.

You can see why he’s rated as one of the best batsmen in the world at the moment. He is a class act.

You don’t become a bad team overnight and we are all working as hard as we can to get back to winning ways.

It was so good to see Leachy making headlines again last week.

Playing for England means so much to him, so to see him nearly get a hundred and get the man of the match award was brilliant.

He just loves playing cricket and it’s great to see him getting the recognition he deserves.

We are all disappointed for Lewis that he didn’t get the chance to show what he could do against Ireland, but if he keeps playing like he has been then his time will come sooner rather than later!

From a personal point of view, it was great to be involved in our annual Junior Member fun sessions this week.

The club do a lot of work in the community and it was nice to be able to be involved and to give a little something back.

It was nice to see so many young cricketers at the ground and I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.

As I write this, we are getting ready for another big Vitality Blast match against Surrey on Friday. Hopefully we can turn things around and get our competition back on track.
