TONIGHT brings the return of Premier League football, and with it Fantasy Premier League.

We have set up a ‘County Gazette readers league’, for fans of the game who’d like another league to test themselves in.

To join, head to the website and then enter the league code 79l7gr.

Who are some of the players you should be looking out for this season?

Well, Mohamed Salah (cost: 12.5) may be an obvious choice, but there’s a reason for that.

He’s scored 303 and 259 points in the last two seasons of Fantasy PL, and he’s fresher than Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane, as his Egypt side were knocked out of the African Cup of Nations earlier than Mane’s Senegal.

Plus, Liverpool face newly promoted Norwich City at Anfield first up, so the title hopefuls will be after a big win to kick off.

Don’t fancy Salah? Raheem Sterling is similarly priced at 12.0, after scoring 234 points in the game last season.

He’s a vital cog in the machine over at champions Manchester City, and will be involved in a good chunk of the goals they score this season.

A cheaper midfield option, but a very interesting one, is Ayoze Perez (6.5).

Signed by Leicester City after four good years at Newcastle United, he’s likely to be fielded in attacking midfield or even up front for a Foxes side which is gunning for a place in the top six.

Finally, making the case for the defence is Lucas Digne (6.0) of Everton.

The left-back contributed to the Toffees’ attack (four goals, five assists) as well as the defence last year, and is hotly tipped by those Fantasy know-it-alls.

Don’t forget that all teams need to be completed by 7pm tonight, an hour ahead of Liverpool v Norwich.
