TAUNTON Titans begin a run of four straight pre-Christmas away games tomorrow, when they visit Leicester Lions (2pm).

A 22-15 win over Bury St Edmunds last Saturday kept the Titans top of the table, but they face a tricky test this weekend against a team sat fifth in the standings, with nine wins from 12 matches.

Titans head coach Tony Yapp told the Gazette: “Ourselves and Leicester are the only two sides in the division still unbeaten at home, which gives an idea as to how tough it will be.

“They have come across from National 2 North, where they performed well last season, and they have recruited well.

“Going there will be a new experience for myself and a lot of the players, and it is a great challenge for us.”

Taunton are without centres Freddie Fraser and Nick Mason through injury, but Tom Wyatt is available again after suspension.
