TAUNTON Titans play their penultimate game of 2019 tomorrow, when they travel to face Old Redcliffians (2pm).

The Titans grabbed a last-gasp victory at Sutton & Epsom last weekend, which keeps them on the coat-tails of the top two in National 2 South, Tonbridge Juddians and Henley Hawks.

Taunton head coach Tony Yapp said: “The performance was not our best, but a few key decisions went against us at key times.

“We need to be better, though, and should have put it to bed earlier.”

Yapp expects to have a similar squad to last weekend for this Saturday’s match in Bristol, although forwards Connor Baker and Charlie Williams are doubts.

However, Toby East and Cory Teague are back in contention, as is Nick Mason, who has returned to training after a spell out injured.

Looking ahead to the clash with their 14th-placed hosts, Yapp said: “The weather could play a part, and it’s a local-ish derby where the players know each other pretty well.

“Old Reds are tough, dogged, they won’t give up and they’ll be looking to cause an upset.

“We will have to play with good tempo and be patient - we don’t need to win the game in the first 10 minutes.”
