SOMERSET batsman Tom Banton has been named in England's one-day squad for the three-match series against South Africa.

This is the first time that Banton, 21, has been named in a ODI squad, having played in England's T20 series in New Zealand last month.

Banton joins Somerset team-mate Jack Leach in South Africa - the latter having been picked as part of the Test squad - but there are no players from the county in the T20 squad this time around.

England's ODI squad
