THIS weekend's rainfall has meant extinction for the dinosaur-themed Jurassic Meeting at Taunton Racecourse, due to be held this coming Tuesday (February 18).
The Racecourse announced this morning that the meeting had been abandoned due to 95mm of rain on the track, with more forecast.
Unfortunately due to having 95mm of rain on the track since last Sunday and further forecast, racing on Tuesday has been abandoned due to waterlogging ..all tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded to the card of payment

As well as the usual racing action, there had been due to be a 'T-Rex race' with members of Taunton Round Table, fundraising for charity.
The abandonment means that the next scheduled meeting at Taunton is the Royal Bath & West of England Raceday, on Thursday, February 27.
