TAUNTON Town are looking to build on Saturday's solid performance away to Premier South leaders Truro City, as they head to Farnborough tonight (7.45pm).

Shane White's header earned the Peacocks a 1-1 draw, which keeps them sixth in the table going into tonight's fixture.

Taunton head of football Rob Dray said: "We’ve got to show more consistency, but this league is so unpredictable... Harrow and Salisbury drawing 2-2 with four penalties in the game is another example.

“In our last eight games, we’ve won three, drawn four and only lost one, which is pretty positive.

“With a dozen games still to go, I believe we are in a great position to get into the play-offs.”

Looking ahead to the match with 12th-placed Farnborough, Dray added: "We have to go get something but we know it will be tough.

"They've made some good signings, and we will have to be on it."

Nick Grimes will miss the match, with the centre-back playing for Hartpury College, and the Peacocks are also without left-sided defender/midfielder Lewis Hall, who has departed for fellow Premier South side Weston-super-Mare.

Hall made 22 full and seven substitute appearances for Taunton this season, only to fall behind White and Ross Staley in the pecking order in recent weeks.

“Lewis just wasn’t getting the game time,” said Dray.

“He’s a good lad but sometimes it just doesn’t work out in football - he leaves us on amicable terms.”
