IT was a Wednesday night to forget for Taunton Town, as the Peacocks were swept aside by mid-table side Farnborough.
The hosts were ahead inside two minutes thanks to Rene Howe, and doubled their lead in the 34th minute, when Jamie Price turned the ball into his own net.
David Fitzpatrick’s 44th-minute penalty - after Price had fouled Reggie Young - all but ended the contest, with Bernie Tanner scoring on 61 minutes to add extra gloss to the hosts’ victory.
Second-half substitute Dan Demkiv made a difference for Taunton, but they found home goalkeeper Liam Beach in imposing form as he denied them a way back into the contest.

Taunton will aim to bounce back this Saturday (3pm), at home to Merthyr Town.
