Here are our player ratings from Reading's 4-2 capitulation away at AFC Bournemouth.

Rafael - 4

Produced a good stop to keep Reading 2-0 up just before half time. After a quiet first period, it all changed in the second half. Could do relatively little about the first three goals, especially the third, which was a stunning effort. The fourth goal, however, was a complete howler.

Tomas Esteves - 3

Had a battle with Danjuma all afternoon. Looked stretched in the first half but wasn't punished. Should've closed down the cross for the first and his slow reaction to a through ball ultimately let Danjuma in to score Bournemouth's second. Withdrawn shortly afterwards.

Omar Richards - 5

Had a lot on his hands throughout the game but battled well throughout and showed maturity in much of his positional play.

Liam Moore - 4

In the first half, Moore was spectacular. Organised the defence really effectively. In the second half however, Moore didn't show anywhere near the same influence as the defence capitulated.

Michael Morrison - 5

Much like Liam Moore, a really good first-half showing, covering the gaps and winning more than his fair share of challenges. In fairness, wasn't at fault for any of the goals either - although you'd of hoped he could show his experience to help the wide players.

Andy Rinomhota - 6

Broke up the play effectively in the middle of the pitch and was quick to move the ball to allow Reading to break.

Josh Laurent - 6

Monitored the attack effectively in the opening half and harried the opposing attackers. Showed good fitness to continue his tenacious approach throughout.

Alfa Semedo - 7

Produced a moment of magic in the third minute to get into the box and win a penalty off of Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic. Retained possession well.

Sone Aluko - 5

Scored with a superb finish to double Reading's lead but didn't give Esteves the required defensive support and left the youngster exposed throughout, which was ultimately punished before his substitution. Had a few chances to get in and get another goal, but his touch let him down.

Ovie Ejaria - 6

Slipped a stunning pass into the path of Aluko for his goal to cap off a great first half showing. Faded as the game developed and didn't influence the game much in the second half.

Lucas Joao - 7

Stepped up and scored from the spot with a confident penalty and held the ball up well although was a little hesitant to shoot at points.

Subs

Tom Holmes - 5

Came on in place of Esteves on the right side of defence right-back with Esteves struggling. Improved the defence a bit and looked to get forward.

Michael Olise - 4

Came on for Aluko. Eased off the ball far too easily at points and struggled to stamp his authority on the game.

Sam Baldock - 4

Came on for the final ten minutes but didn't do a huge amount.
