WELLINGTON'S Ryan Searle stunned 23rd seed Jeffrey de Zwaan to reach the third round of the PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace.
The Dutchman landed nine maximums, but poor finishing cost him as Searle proved the more consistent player in a 3-0 win.
A 15-darter swung the deciding leg in his favour in a quality first set, and Searle then nailed a 130 (T20, T20, D5) to clinch the second 3-1.
'Heavy Metal' Searle then wrapped up the third, which puts him through to a third round meeting with either Ian White or Kim Huybrechts.
🗣 "That didn't feel that great. I'll take the win."
