NEXT season's Southern League campaign is set to start on Saturday, August 14.
Taunton Town (Premier Division South) and Frome Town (Division 1 South) will hope that the 2021/22 season will be third time lucky, after seeing both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 campaigns brought to an premature end by the Covid-19 pandemic.
A Southern League statement said: "Subject to FA Council ratifying the FA Alliance Committee decision to ‘curtail’ the 2020/21 season when it meets on Thursday, March 18, the Board of the Pitching In Southern Football League has decided that the 2021/22 season will commence on Saturday, August 14, 2021, for all four divisions.
"The FA Cup extra preliminary round is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 7, with the preliminary round on Saturday, August 21."
Clubs will hope to play those matches in front of full crowds, with all Covid-19 restrictions to be removed on Monday, June 21, as per the government's 'roadmap' out of lockdown.
