TAUNTON Town's impressive run of twelve successive victories in the Pitching In Southern League came to an end yesterday (February 26) after away defeat against Harrow Borough.

It proved unlucky 13 for the Peacocks as they lost 3-2 after leading the match 0-2 at half time.

The defeat also brings to an end an unbelievable unbeaten sequence of 18 matches.

Toby Holmes fired the visitors in front after 24 minutes which continued his fine form in front of goal.

Then just seven minutes later Jake Wannell got on the end of a Lloyd James free kick to head home and double the Peacocks lead.

At the break Taunton were flying high however it all changed in the second forty-five.

Town failed to get going in the second half, with Harrow pulling a goal back on 51 minutes when Leo Donnellan’s cross appeared to go in off the far post.

The hosts then levelled after 75 minutes when James Ewington netted off the post from a Shaun Preddie cross before they grabbed the winner with eight minutes left, Ewington heading in after Town had failed to clear a corner.

The Peacocks will now look to bounce back at home to Yate Town on Tuesday evening.

That game kicks off at 7.45pm at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium and will be an interesting game as Taunton continue their push for promotion.
