Hemel Hempstead 1-1 Taunton Town
The Peacocks picked up a point on the road with a 1-1 draw at Hemel Hempstead Town in the National League South on Saturday.
It was a tense game throughout and was played in close quarters as neither side wanted to be the one to make a mistake that cost the point.
However, the result was probably about right from a scrappy game in which the visitors grabbed the lead on 17 minutes.
Dan Ball headed down a Lloyd James corner and skipper Nick Grimes slotted over the line from close range to make it 1-0 to Taunton Town.
A defensive lapse saw Hemel equalise after 31 minutes, Dara Dada getting in behind to lay the ball across to Josh Castiglione who was alone at the far post to tuck home.
Then in the second period, despite both sides creating chances, neither side was able to find the net in the second half.
Taunton were happy to take the point as Hemel pushed forward in front of their home fans, however the defense of the Peacocks stood tall.
The point gained has lifted the Peacocks up one place to 16th in the National League South table
